Yes, 2nd hand eos1 less than 500. Saw it in TCW last month.

Do you need the highspeed? Sorry, cant remember whats the $$ for 1HS setup.

For me, I will take eos1 over eos 5 anytime. Especially now the $$ are so close.

wah, how come most people recommend canon one har. anyway, i think you should go for one of those mid range bodies from either nikon or canon. either f80 or eos30/33. the lower end cameras usually don't sastify after some time

A Nikon 801s s a really good buy if you are not too concerned about AF speed. An F4 is a dream is you can handle the weight. I am still waiting for my first DSLR...

yup. eos 30 and f80 are good cams to start with. affordable at current 2nd hand prices.

hehe...more people recommend canon cos more people using canon mah. was it like 70%? :think:

hi guys

thinking of obtaining a relatively good slr with a small budget. dont mind getting second hands, as i am rather new in film photography. been playing with my FZ1 for 2 yrs. dont mind any lens, one that covers a sufficient focal length range will do.

am particularly interested in macro and nature shots, and sunset shots too.

i am really open to all of u guys sincere opinions and suggestions. perhaps those with really good reviews of ur own slrs u use can recc to me.
