i'm in the midst of buying another head,pan tilt or ball oso can.
should be able to handle ard 15-20lbs,panning is not necessary.
Are there any under $100 ??

I got a Slik Pro DX 700 , it's tough as a brick and comes with a pan tilt head.
it's a full tripod get up though so I'm not sure if you need that

got a manfrotto 029 pan head from cathay @ $100 a yr ago. it weighs 3.3lbs (1.5kg), has a height of 7" (18cm), and can handle a max load of 16.5lbs (7.5kg). 2X built-in spirit level, pan angle markings n uses hexagonal plate.

cant comment on whether its value for money or not cos i bought it oni for project work, n has neglected it since then (will use it if i change to a heavier setup, i hope ).

i actually bought a used manfrotto 090 ? from a fellow CSer ,pretty happy with the performance.
