Hi Eastgear, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable on batteries here.

Here's one of my doubts - sometimes I charge my batteries but I don't use them. A few days later, they start to lose the charges. Is it ok to charge them just like that without discharging them first?

If you using an ordinary charger, it's better to discharge the battery first (either thru normal usage or via the charger's discharging function). Otherwise there will be a memory effect which shortens the battery life.

If you were using a Maha charger, you wouldn't encounter this problem in the first place, because both Maha 204 and 401 charger comes with trickle charge mode which provides small amounts of current just to keep the cells topped up to its maximum charge after it has finished its charge cycle. It perfectly ok to leave the cells in the charger for a few days and you are always sure of a fully charged cell everytime you pick it out from the charger. Moreover with the Maha 401 charger, you can placed a cell of any charge to be charged again without fear of damaging the cell, due to its unique flex negative pulse which eliminates memory effect just by charging.
