Its not really that bulky to me, juz nice as it fits cuddly on me back ;) If you are looking for one that fits a 17" laptop, then I'd recommend the Adventure 9, its a tad big to me (well, doesn't all laptop fitting backpack are...hee..hee) check out this site to take a look http://www.tamrac.com/frame_adv.htm and head down to T K Foto to have a feel before you buy. :) U might want to consider Crumpler's Sinking Barge and a few other of their cam back-pack range. They look really cool too, but it comes with a hefty price tag (if you dun mind burning a hole in your pocks) Check out this website http://www.crumpler.com.sg

Actually, IMO, one camera bag is usually not enough. For me, I use Domke F-3XB for walkaround shoot and Lowepro Stealth Reported 400 AW for events (cos' sometime difficult for me to predict which lens will be needed, so will bring a few lenses just in case).

yeah, i currently have a safrotto sling bag which is heavy !
even without my equipment it's already heavy :(
so thinking of a backpack instead.

thanks grinfish,
will be heading to TK tomorrow then.

no worries ..b.. :)
I do have a Lowepro Slingshot and found that I have the same problem as you, in terms of space and comfort, was glad when I find my Adventure 7 ;) Hope you will find one that will fit your need!

Cheers! :D

wow i din know the price went up ...

Is Domke bag really good??? I am not familar with bags... only got a stealth reporter and thinking of a backpack to complement it.....

Mini trekker II AW from lowepro seems ok, small and compact, and can carry tripod too, and add on slip lock piuch for expansion... does anyone have experience with this bag to share???

Seems lowepro is a beginner bag and all move to L bags.. like domke & co... etc....

is goods....compact and neat with 2 useful side pockets...the top compartment dont look soo "lumppy" with not fully pack...and also there's a ABS padded plateform at the base of the backpack...i have bought this over lowepro orion trekker II for the above reason n of cos the price due to lowepro price raise to make it no more attractive anymore......

Cool... Thanks drewdam! I was actually thinking of the Lowepro Dryzone with the Hydration pack but I already have a Hydration pack. The whole set-up costs about (or close to) $200! I don't think Lowepro has the option of selling the bag without the hydration pack because that will really save me heaps! :( So yeah, now it's the Tamrac Adventure 7 for me. :)
