Hi Guys,

Thinking of getting a cheapo RF just to try out (around S$100 maybe?) Any recommendations?

As well, what should I be looking out for when buying a used RF?

Thanks for the help.

Hi danster,

If you are thinking of a rangefinder for below $100, I think the Yashica GSN is a good start. It's a real rangefinder with automatic parallax correction, automatic exposure, a fast and sharp lens and bright viewfinder/frameline. It's also quite rugged because I have dropped mine on tarmac and it still works like before(no rangefinder misalignment), but with some deep scratches on one corner of the baseplate.

GTN is very good. If u can find a GX model is even better.

Minolta Himatic and Yashica MG-1 can also be considered.
