Recent Nex sales in Buy & Sell

I own a Nex5. In my opinion:

Pros
1) Shooting handheld in low light.
2) Good ISO noise compare to compact camera and entry level dslr equivelant.
3) Light weight and compact (ideal for travelling)
4) Panoramic function
5) HD Movie quality is good

Cons
1) Flash is weak
2) Poor battery life with flash
3) Poor WB
4) Stupid view either for photos and movie, cannot view both file type

I do not use the flash, it's more for fill flash in the dark. Can't believe how clean the ISO 3200 is compared to the D300S. WB seems quite accurate and fast adapting in my case. One trick I currently use is to view movie after shooting stills, I do a quick start stop movie recording and that switches the viewing mode to movie. Vice verse for the stills.

I suppose the lack of a wide range of lens turn off a lot of NEX users. Even with the adaptor, NEX still not that nice to hold as compare to a DSLR/T (POV). NEX are for those need a compare camera but with SLR sensor/lens, who are mostly woman. :bsmilie: My sis n colleague got NEX, but i doubt they selling.

Anyway, I dont like to sell off the things which I own cause I :heart: them as they are my babies. ;p

Given the number of people especially teens with the mode dial set to the green square, slinging around their the SLRs around their necks in town nowdays....holding a Pen or a NEX makes you one of a kind

Funny my wife thought that is the new fashion accessories that people carry nowadays.

NEX is not a system really, not yet, but a camera medium that allow those who has nice old manual focus lenses a chance to use it through glassless adaptor.

It is so far a very interesting system to use and just love it's quality.

Now, when are they going to put SSS on it?

I guess there is only so much they can shrink for the lenses. But on a serious note, compared to my D300S and former D2X, the NEX is the Kate Moss of APS-C DSLR.

Why are compact or small form cameras related to women? Not macho enough?

There would be more E-mount lenses in the near future, so lens choices wouldn't be a problem soon.

Doubt very much if Sony would do that ! ...if they do, then it would be hard for them to justify the premium on E-mount lenses

I only ever saw one lady shooting with a silver Nex in singapore, all the rest I've seen are guys !
