Reccomend a DC

need to have.....

ext. flash mount
more than 2 MP
faster focusing than my uzi
resonable amount of zoom <6x
able to take filters
not too ex :D

if dun have these also can consider:

manual focusing for a dc (only 602 have?)
monochrome LCD with backlight
uses AA batt.

sounds pretty much like the s602z except for the backlit LCD info display panel~
 

The Fuji S602 is made for you brother! :D

but me now still not ready to buy:(

the 602 seems good
only no monochrome LCD and AF assist lamp

the ext flash is auto or must set the apeture and others manually?

If your ext flash got "Auto", then you can use auto.
There is also a manual mode, where you can learn to play with the settings. :)
 

don't think the Pro 90IS has faster AF compared to the UZI.... how about getting a 2nd hand D30. seems to have a flood of them in the market now....
 

saw someone selling 2nd hand D30 for $2000...

but a DSLR seems too much for a student like me :)
rather get a prosumer DC and improve on my already lousy skills 1st :)
