Looking at the way you shoot, it will give way in a few month time.
I will clean and lightly grease my tripod joint after it went into sea or swampy area, if not it will confirm give way no matter what brand, my gitzo is almost 3 years now and still going strong.
Sea water is the worst, one of my friend who love to take seascape and don't maintain it, changes his gitzo every other year.....

Anyone else interested in the D7000? A dealer has reserved a set for me, but I'm not ready to get it now... body only, local set, $1700 GST included. I don't think he will be able to keep it for me past today. Long queue he said...

D300 for birding
And D700 for everything else
Later going help friend to get his D7000.
Enjoy!Good cam, if not for the splurge on the long zoom, I wouldn't have hesitated.
D90 is a good camera, some of my favorite photo is taken by D80.
The long zoom is a better investment.
Thanks for the encouraging words, I think I'll get many pics with the long zoom. Now that I don't have to yearn for it! We live only once, live it to the fullest! :bsmilie:
