yes, and there is fake humility for the sake of being humble.
i guess we need to stray out of our limited view and look around at more photos, then you realise how mediocre you are.. and there are high mountains everywhere, and photography is really a lifelong thing, if you choose to make it so.
Not only photography. In general, education is a lifelong learning process. If we know everything,then our lives will be so boring cos there is nothing to learn anymore. Some people limit themselves, choose not to widen their horizons and refuse to accept criticisms cos of their ego. There are also some who cannot differentiate between criticisms and personal opinions.
I say,just let them win. It's their life, not ours.

When a comp doesn't work, it always have a logical reason behind it. Ppl can throw such comments without clear reason.
