Wow Say Yiam,

Perfect lighting control for your shots.

x3 flash?
thanks david, only my usual setup using 2 flashes....1 infront and 1 back lit. everyone is busy shooting and no extra hands for 3rd light :bsmilie:

Nice, how many did you stack?
thanks james, intended to do stacking initially but these 2 fellas were so unstable and cant even stop for a moment for some continuous shots...gave up in the end. Just use a small aperture, shoot from a distance, ensure the eyes are parallel and infocus ... :D

you're welcome, sometimes they move very fast, plus theirs quite small,so tough to see mah,the male walk off means he lucky but he's gonna die anyway, could be different for this species though, that's what I understand from watching a documentary on spiders, cool stuff :bsmilie:
I heard of a spider species called black widow which the female eat up the male immediately after mating. I had pasted some useful infos on this spider species below the last pictures provided mr david(npss)..its indeed interesting after reading that :)

Interesting capture. Regretted never make it to join you guys in the early morning hours. Well captured shots.:thumbsup:
thanks steven.... these huntsman are common in the dark but to see them mating are indeed very rare and we were quite lucky to come across it that nite...:)

nice crisp shots say yiam.

but this time no snakes? ha ha... :)
thanks bro ... of coz got snakes and its quite common in the dark. the problem is not easy to shot them. they usually get excited and moved away after 1 or 2 flashes at them.....

usual high standard shots from you... same specie but different colours.

thanks steven .... we have actually seen quite a no of species in AP especially in the dark. now we roughly know which are male and female after capturing these shots :bsmilie:

maybe they just doing "69" style ... :bsmilie:

ah, 69? you guys experienced.

master, really good photo.

wa .... you all are very imaginative....doesnt mean that their heads in opposite direction is doing SIX NINE....:nono: You all got it all wrong already. the male thing actually grow on its head instead of his butt.... You can refer the article provided by david(npss) below the last picture on this spider species ...
