I have a Leica R lens 100mm f4 and planning to buy a cz 85mm f1.4 contax mount. I wonder if there's any rangefinders that can use these lenses? Sorry for such a basic question:embrass:, but will really appreciate your answers. :bsmilie: Btw, those RF really look sweet.

Don't think so. For contax lens should be Contax G1 or G2.
For Leica R mount definitely no unless you modified the mounting

If I can remember correctly there is a C/Y to M39 adaptor. So u can use CZ 85/1.4 on a rangefinder body but the problem is how to do focusing.

Hi,

For R lenses you can use a R to M adaptor. Leica used to have this adaptor. I have one from Novoflex. This allows me to use R lenses on my Leica M, but without rf coupling. The only lens I am using with this adaptor is the Leica 19 mm R since the DOF is so large. There was another adaptor that had rf focusing, but it was difficult to use.

You can send the lens for modification, though it will cost at least US$500.
