hi! i'm a rf user too...
currently owns a voigtlander bessa r and 15mm aspherical / 50mm colur skopar. yes it's true.. pic quality is very good.though changing of lens is a big hassle cos it's scrrew mount.. but voigtlander made up 4 it wif it's sharp lens n e neutral tones it reproduces.

Just got me a new Bessa R and a 28/3.5 (Sadly, I think both of them got problem).

Also, ordering in a 75/2.5 from Cameraquest. Won a bid on eBay for an Industar-26M 50/2.8. Bidding for a Jupiter-8 50/2 and an Industar-61 L/D 55/2.8.

Keeping an eye out for a VC 35/2.5 and, if those russian lenses turn out to be crap, a VC 50/2.5.

I think I'm really going overboard with all these acquisitions!

Now I gian to try out the FEDs and Zorkis. :o Anything I should look out for before I start bidding? :P

And another thing: How come some people list the Industar-26M 50/2.8 as a 52/2.8 and the Industar-61 L/D 55/2.8 as a 53/2.8?

better to buy from dealers who have serviced the lenses, or else you will need to service/calibarate them yourself. Or else buy a bucket and pick the best.

I have the CV 35/2.5 and its a lovely lens.

re: industar - because there were many year variants and some came as 52, 53 and 55mm.

I use these lenses and have been happy:

orion 28/6.3
Jupiter-8 50/2
Jupiter-3 50/1.5 (I have 2pcs, one is out of whack and needs work)
Jupiter-9 85/2 (not so accurate at f2 because bessa's base-length not long enough)
Jupiter-11 135/4

HI
I use Leica M6 and Rollei 35 S

Finally got my first Leica system and no more money! If my wife knows about it.....

MP 0.58
35/2 ASPH Summicron Silver

Wanted a 50/2 but the only remaining one in the shop has an obvious piece of hair-like thing in it.

My only complain (besides the price) is that the 35/2 with hood blocked out part of the viewfinder. They could have vented the hood.

I also have a Canonet QL17 GIII. Used to own a Konica Auto S3.

This is wat you need:

vented hood for 35

but it would cost $150 if you can find one here :(

Hi!

Just want to congratulate you on your new acquisition! I remember my first was a 0.58 M6ttl with a 35mm summicron as well. And i told myself that i'll live with that for a while before thinking of anything else...but guess what? before long, i added a 24mm asph, then a 90mm elmarit, then an M6ttl 0.85, then finally a 50mm lux. thank goodness it stops there but i know i have the kit to take on most shooting situations now.

regarding the wife, well she just sighs when it comes up in conversation...

good luck and enjoy shooting! post some images soon!

Mine had a slightly different take ...

after I started buying soviet rangefinders, and spending my weekends (and week nights) trying to fix/calibarate them ... she said, " In future, only buy leica because I don't want you to spend all your time fixing these dinky things when you should be spending them with me....."

That's true! Maybe Leica cameras can fend off attacking wives too! :D

Actually, my wife is not too bad, just need to tell her that the piece of thing I bought is old and cheap ;)

to answer your question, yes, Im a RF user...Ive got 2 Canon Canonet G3 QL's ...they are way old school, picked em up on ebay for 60USD each...i travel alot, and cant quite afford a leica yet, and these relics make some sharp, contrasty pics...way worth the $$...where else can you get a quality 40mm 1.7 lens for under 100 bucks?..

ill have a leica to accompany these brothers soon...

I had a Canonet QL 17 GIII for a few years too, still have it. Except for the focussing patch and occassional film advance problem, it is a wonderful camera.
