Ron's Camera. He seems pretty decent; mind you I don't trust any camera repair shops in general, they're sales people after all. You should go around a few shops asking for what ACTUALLY needs to be done. Before i did my repair I went to a few places.
tip: keep a wide eye on P&G Camera......you should go to this place first and ask about your repair, then IMMEDIATELY run out and get other quotes. You'll see...

looks like your dad put a filter on the lens, so it shouldn't be too dirty

Shutterwise what is meant by soft, sorry? The shutter release button still feels solidly springly and smooth, not spongy. Ya it's got a UV filter on it but the lens elements front and back(when u open the shutter in bulb mode can see from film bay) has those dirt. Tried D-I-Y cleaning using those lens cleaning solutions and some buds, managed to clean it better a bit but still has some slight spotting.

i just got a 35 SPn with fungus, its pretty simple to clean, can do it for you for some pocket money...
I've been reading up a lot on servicing RF cams, and i thought maybe i should mention that my dad has been doing some repair job of his own for a while now. it's like a hobby to him to repair old cams. he's repaired maybe abt 20 cams now. all from his collection. he's only collecting old yashica RF cams, but sometimes will also find some minolta, cossina, etc, which usually requires some cleaning, adjusting, and for some, a total overhaul of the internal mechanism.
so if any of u need help in servicing, and wouldnt mind an old man tweaking your precious old cam, maybe i can ask my old man. i'm not even sure if he's interested in doing the servicing regularly, but perhaps he could help with one or 2 cams per month. not too sure whether he wanna ask for a fee, but even if he does it'll prolly be a minimum amt to cover some costs.

i went there before, he dismantle camera before your eyes in professioinally.he have more then 30 years of experience, dont ever douubt him.
btw he used to work for nikon, rollei and other company before and now he open a shop out of the city area not to complete with others shop, ppl who know him will know his standard..

Yes, he helped me out with my FM2 about 1/2 yr ago. His is very passionate about his work & charges are reasonable. Got many valuable adivse from him.
Hey! This is nice... I hope you don't mind me saying this... with the recent encouragement from the government urging senior citizens to continue working even pass 70, I think your dad can still continue servicing bodies and clean lenses and make some money out of it.
I believe the clubsnap community will be very very grateful that they have another handy person who can help them clean up their precious 70s Canons Nikons Minoltas Olympus and salvage the lenses and use them on the DLSR bodies again!

Grandlink square is just opposite the City Plaza. I believe he shifted there not too long ago. Do give me a ring before you drop by as he is running a OMO, he needs toilet and coffee breaks from time to time...

That would be the mirror. Have you tried to "****" the shutter? Zenit ETs are pretty cheap on the market, and it's functions are nothing to brag about. If it doesn't mean much to you, I suggest you get another SLR instead of repairing it.
I agree, I have used P&G's services twice and have been impressed at service standards there. Camera Hospital is another good place.

Another shop that accepts services for older RF cameras is CAM.X at Peninsula Hotel Shopping Centre. The owner does'nt repair it himself, he has a technician who picks it up from him for servicing. I sent one Leica IIf Screw Mount RF for servicing as the RF/VF were dirty and got it back with really clean RF/VF windows.
