Dear Rangefinder Enthusiasts,

A new book titled Rangefinder Photography has just been published by www.rangefinderforum.com I feel that we should emulate their example and publish a CS photo book. They use a self publishing firm at www.lulu.com that does not require any down payment for the first edition. Do take a look at the site and judge for yourself.

Hello Peter,

I like the idea of publishing a book based on the photos from Clubsnappers. In your vision, would you have the book based on film, digital, or a mix of both? Interesting idea. I'll keep watching this thread to see what happens.

Hi Steve,

CS is a much bigger forum than RFF and it has a wide genres in photographic vision. I humbly feel that CS could catch the attention of international photographic enthusiasts through a book that illustrates the wide variety of medium and styles through its first publication. A sort of 'First Harvest' to showcase the potential of local photographers. If the first publication is successful, subsequent publications could be based on different themes and even medium. The beauty of self publishing agency like LuLu is that there is no need to pay for a full publication of an edition and the international availability through internet could utilise internet marketing methods to reach a much wider audience. LuLu allows registration of ISBN number to allow book sellers and library to buy books for sale and collection. If CS would want to publish a book, they could emulate what 28MM did, ask for submissions of best photos and choose the best. Any other ideas out there? :)

Regards,
Peter
