What's the market rate for Tamron 17-50 f2.8 Non VC brand new set with 3 yrs local warranty? The rates I got so far is ~$600.

TK quoted me $630 last month (iirc)
MS Main branch, $640
MS AMK Hub Branch, $600 -.- (I know the main branch's quote was abit "high"..but didn't expect a diff quote from this branch)

I think Cathay absorb only if regular customer bah...

I think cost is also an issue when I'm thinking of replacing my kit lens (instead of repairing it....if possible, didn't want to spend too much on the replacement)

I think I already try to say that tamron is only good for macro lenses. Their normal lens range is not impressive.

You can consider tokina or sigma instead. Seriously.... Don't save a few bucks only to get just a 'ok' quality lens.

Toki 16-50 and Sigma 18-50 f2.8?

I think Sigma got a 18-50 f2.8 version....

btw, the Sigma 17-50 you referring to is it 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM? seems like the only version I find for this focal length.



Sigh...choose 1 lens also so headache...

The Sigma 17-50 OS HSM....1.1k....almost double of Tamm...But after hearing that that users of tam 17-50 are "hunters" at night, really scares me...cos I hate to hunt at night. My last experience of MF with 18-55 at night is horrible.

Anyway, requested for quotes from the various shops liao...(thou I don't expect MS to reply, they haven't been replying as of late)
