#42 hold on tight!

Iphone4 + retro camera. Dont really like the border but its app default.

Nice photos , and a good mix .
Thanks for sharing .

I see you covered Thaipusam. I think what is so special about the occasion, is the ability to push your limit to endure the pain. If you can capture that, you have a really nice capture.

hi The Moving Chair, i agree with you. sadly i didnt have many facial expression pictures. :(

but here's one for you, which i hope kind of conveys some form of emotions. sadly it was slightly out of focus. :( tired eyes after 5 hours in the early hours of morning manual focusing.

#44 must fight it!

Okay this shot, basically you know where is the problem, the focus. However, one more thing is with how u composed it. Two ways u can do it, simple one is to leave the man in blue out, but still keep your subject as he is. Another way, which I would have done, is to go in closer on his face, try to fill the frame with his face. The expression and the thing that sticks into his face is all you need. If going closer, he looks at you, all the better, that is the impact you need.

We do photography to gain rating? No. Because even if no one left in the world to appreciate our works, we will still carry on. So don't let ratings set u back, i am glad you still seek to improve your works. I look forward to see more from you. :)

Bro TMC, i purposely had the man in blue to show him pulling the devotee back. Wanted to have a bit of context to the shot.

Nah i dont shoot to have ratings. Just led me to contemplate my current standards of taking pictures. We all have to be reflexive and constantly reflect if we have improve or stuck in a rut. Strive to improve.

recent pics look somewhat oof..... try working on getting a sharper image by better focusing. :)

Did you deliberately tilt the horizon for #19? If so, why?

Hi zaren. Love your photos. I know its no excuse but i'm still getting used to manual focusing and thin dof on full frame (film). Hopefully with time and practice i can nail the focus. Most of my later shots were taken with a 50/1.4 so dof really thin. Will try and practice more. But mostly i'm more concerned with capturing the moment. Thanks again for dropping by. :)

Hi oLYNXo. That particular shot was shot at a traffic light while waiting for green man. I framed his elbow and quickly took a shot. Honestly never realised the tilted horizon. Guess i have to keep a look out for it in the future. But like i replied above, im concerned with capturing moment that i sometimes overlook the little distractions around the frame. Thanks for the specific feedback on room for improvement. Appreciate it lots.

No worries bro! We all interpret and see pictures differently. I guess if my intent wasnt clear, it kind of shows a weakness in the image. My pictures need to tell a story or convey an emotion clearly. Thanks for taking the time to correspond and comment back and forth on my thread.

Happy New Year to all!

Wasted! #44 if sharp would be great! Happy new year!
