Let me explain.
Check their website. On their "History" they mention the company made quartz watches in the 1980s. That's not history.
Compare that to a company like Chopard which has history dating back to 1860.
Usually such fancy names like Arbutus or Solvil Et Titus are just fancy names of companies dreamed up by a marketing consultant.
It is a marketing vehicle to fool consumers into thinking they are buying a fancy European watch brand going back more than 100 years.
The owners of some of these pseudo brands may be Hong Kong / PRC businessmen.

Ive seen them die in the cold, Battery goes bad, LCD Freezes.
Mine is still running even after going through serious cold weather...
Want a good watch, buy a real brand that make watches.
Many old Swiss brands are just in name only, owned by the Chinese companies who revived their name. Its just an empty shell.
If your budget is higher, you can go for the mass marketed swiss names under the SWATCH umbrella, ie Omega, Hamilton, Tissot.
If you have a 5 or 6 figure budget, then talk about real Swiss brands like Piaget, AP, etc.
4-500 dollars, go Japanese like Seiko or Citizen.
Sorry, just like everything else in life, no such thing as cheap yet prestigious. Even a good fake piece of a luxury brand may cost more than $500.

Another thing for young man is, we must wear things befitting our station in life.
If you are a teenager wearing a high end watch, unless your family rich and affluent, it will just appear you are trying too hard if you are a common Singaporean.
It does not means we cannot own nice things or look good. But we must not be extravagant beyond one's means, unless one have such means.
$500 can get you a nice formal and classy Seiko watch with money to spare for another rubber G-Shock.

even when im 28, i was elated to have my $15 Casio.
its the best and most practical watxh for me. ever.

Tuesday - Montblanc
Wednesday - Rolex
Thursday - Citizen
Friday - Panerai
Saturday - Omega
Sunday - no watch on wrist - just use mobile phone clock
But....girl still oblivious - because she's not interested in what watch you are wearing.
