Hello again folks,
Every semester I try to incorporate at least one sunrise/sunset photography. Even though its a daily cycle, no two sunrises nor two sunsets are alike..and there are infinite ways to describe them.
It gives a sense of calm, it can be romantic, it can be spiritual...and, given the right technique, it can even be desolate and alien. The way light bounces off the clouds, giving a fiery glow to their edges, the radiant colors of yellow, orange, purple and reds overwhelming the skies. Every 3 minutes you take, you get a different capture....and its always a challenge to capture this beautiful moment perfectly.
Enough of the description for now... overall, its just a fun sunset shoot
Newbies are welcomed for this shoot.
I had posted some basic guidelines(based on my personal opinion) on how to shoot stunning sunscapes. Those who wish can take a look at it here :http://www.hersheydesai.com/2011/04/how-to-photograph-stunning-sunscapes.html
Date: 23rd July, Saturday
Time: 6pm - 8.30pm
Location: Changi Board walk(near Changi Beach club)
Map link here: http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_18467/travel_site_1/
MEETING POINT:
I'd suggest bringing a wide lens and a telephoto. For those who wish to try taking pictures of rocks or shells by the beach, might want to get a macro lens too...or extension tubes etc. Of course, even a simple PnS camera can work wonders.
*TRIPOD IS ESSENTIAL* Once the sun starts to set, you'll definitely want to try out some long exposures.
Unfortunately, the last time I went there.... too cloudy. Was unable to see any sunset, but I did end up taking a few pictures anyway...
