hi again.. i dont know how to answer some questions...
i really cant choose how i want to look in the catalog, the make up- smoky eyes, the poses- must be dead not to be lively, and i wasnt the one taking the photos. i just try my best to do what photographer and my friend wanted.
=fotoudavid= i think ur pic is nice, no need to put down but.. i truly dont know the purpose of u posting ur pic here? is it to compare or? she look very lively and really wakes me up, not the type my friend wanted.. :bsmilie:
Rachelle for a novice model you have done a great job in adhering to what your 'client' wanted. and if this is only your second stint, its a darn good result. i congratulate you and encourage you to keep modelling, learning and growing.
I would like to point out that the photographer is relatively new in photography and he is self-taught. This is in fact his first ever shoot of a model since he started picking up the hobby in March 07.
Given that, i hope my fellow CS-ers can offer contructive feedback on 1) the model and her poses 2) how can the photographer improve his future shots.
Surely we all want to help each other improve on their photography skills right?
In case you are wondering, i was present at the shoot.
I guess I will comment on the photos and not the model. I don't quite agree with the style of photography here. Maybe the subject is too centered. The colours also don't really work for me.
Also, any photos without making emphasis to the eyes won't appeal to me.
This is just me though, I'm sure a lot of us here will still like this kind of style. My best shot is the second one in TS second post.
Well, my advice will be to take what the rest got to say. When someone says that he/she doesn't like the colour, I'll try to work on it in my next shoot. If someone says he/she does not like the style, I'll go flip more mags and lookout for more inspiration.
It really depends on the individual how he/she look at comments from others.

1) ask him go back to his basic
2) ask him to practise on posing the model
3) ask him go find a better backdrop
4) ask him go learn more about lighting
5) ask him go learn more about his camera
6) ask him buy a tripod if he does not use one during shoot
7) ask him to find out which angle to picture the model
8) ask him to invest in a better lens
