im not inside the barrier, im just behind the barrier. im seriously quite close already but bcos of pple blocking, i cant really shoot, most shots r above head with live view enable.

i hate using live view mode, raising ur camrea high for evey shot..
Hands will start shaking after some shots.. haha..
At least ur position is better than those behind those standing on ladder and holding umberlla ;)

early also no use, i standing infront of the ladder gang, yet i dont really have nice shots.
DiGdUb dont mind i post there here

This kind of event and setup, people behind especially those late comers sure kana block somehow be it ladder gang, banner, camera phone, etc. It's just an convenient to point to ladder gang. I remember before ladder gang, all arrows targeting the fanclub (banners, fans, etc).
So what's next after the ladder gang?

This kind of event should be organised with a raised stage and a proper section for photographers, fans without cameras and fans queing up for autographs...

:D

Commendable effort, TS. Shooting these kinda celebrity events ain't easy nowadays. What with huge crowds, and everyone having cameras nowadays. And that bloody ladder gang. :thumbsd:

Thats the reason I stopped shooting public celebrity events. There will be ladder gangs and other inconsiderate photographers who will go all out just to get their shots, even if it means blocking spectators behind them.

and yeah, many of this photogs are not even paid to shoot, just for leisure but yet sibeh hardcore- as if their life depends on it. ;p
Its just not worth the effort anymore after this group of die-hards start camping for every celebrity autograph session or appearance. They have zero disregard or thoughtfulness for fellow photogs in less ideal positions. Happily block others like nobody's business.

For the record I stopped shooting these kinda events since ages ago also. No pt. wasting my time and efforts to go.

Thanks for sharing!
I like Liang Wen Ying too, her voice is
Using one of her latest song here:
