***Cam was set to 'standard' and not set to 'portrait', on AWB and not on 'Custom WB or any WB-Disc', and the site was equipped with "Mixed-Lights".....hmm...basically that was all/info that I'd recall thus far...!!

Btw, any further enlightenment from you guys are very welcome...and Tia...

hmm.. pictures does appears a bit soft.

Maybe a bit of pulling up the curves a bit (brightening) will help. And a bit of sharpening.. a bit can already.. don't overdo it. She's wearing white right? maybe use part of the cloth to set as reference white, then adjust the WB.

Maybe you can try and show us?

Those in post #32 is the better of the lot at the moment.

IMO, the base of the shots are already wrong.
With that, I mean that the original shots were not taken to deal with the issues up front, and now they are causing lots of time used for PP to remedy.
But its not a bad thing.
Think over what went wrong with this session and try to deal with them next time.

For example, you can use a flash preferably bounced (high ceiling in this scenario though); use a flash diffuser and/or take flash off camera to make it more shaping/directional.
Just a little bit of flash to lift the shadows.
That should make your life easy for the PP and result in less PP and better quality o/p too.

Based on the reflections on the face, flash is probably fired. But maybe not diffused.

...yesss...slooowly...rolling-out the rest of the lots...hahaa...do stay-tuned...;)

this latest one is good, focus is excellent, good amount of sharpening and most important for me is no or very minimal yellow cast due to the lighting. what's the F-stop for this shot?

update: saw the exif, know the F-stop liao.

Your focus on these photos are off. Nothing can be done to save them. If you try to sharpen or add clarity, will look bad.

Wah, Teti's face getting very oily? or is it the type of makeup she used?

I remember one of CS-ers here once brought up this topic about make up applied on models.. Sometimes they are too reflective, toward white or silvery. Hence you can easily see the skin tone difference between the face & body especially under artificial light source..

Yes.. hate those shiny makeup. terrible for photography.

Yes, there were/are some that I was "trying" my luck to 'rescue'...in fact, so as to enable posting...:)...(...that's right...nothing can be done to save oof pic/s...)

Well Albert, as for this issue..and I remembered very correctly that someone did mentioned regard this during the shooting session, cos I always shoot with ears open not just eyes...that was why I can still recalled till date...;)

***...in fact, regarding this issue/point, whereby bro anson commented at #54, I've PMed him way before I started replying bros from #55...in order to avoid any unwanted/unnecessary dispute/s...as I believed most if not all are here to learned from one another...what's 'good/appropriate' and what's "not-so-favourable" when executing a/our shot/s...right...?;)

Well, a definite yes bro, as I personally came across and read that thread/posts posted before and believed there were others who read it too...lah but didn't seriously go and remember the thread title or might not even in a title to just discuss this topic (..basically, I'm not really into taking human-subject aka portraiture...)...hahaa;)
