I love the flexibility of this Speedlight SB-R200
You can chose which direction the light coming from, just what I always wanted.

I was also using the ring flash but I prefer this R1.

Speedlight R1 (SB-R200) is off camera thru CLS
can be used with different type of lens.

for the frogshot, i used 200mm F4 lens a a distance around 1-1.5m.

Yep, I admit its a stop under, sorry. But can be corrected easily with post processing which in this case i did not mind. The flash was coming from side and under the flower which was intentionally done to create another way of lighting the subj. too bad, the spider was on a white flower and he's just so small.
