I monitor my 1-week old 60L Digicabi...keep dropping to 29. panic siah..
tune to 8 o'clock, green light gone....:sweat:
take all the eqpt out again...:cry:
try again...worse than monitoring market share

No need to take out and put in the equipment. Slowly adjust lah. Having it a day or 2 in low RH will not harm your camera or lenses.
Some places in the world have the RH perpetually <30%.

I feel bad for you... Such pain was why I got a digital unit in the first place, after lots of bad exp w dryboxes and balancing amt of silica gel. Some luckier folks don't have this prob on the analog digicabs but these are always hit or miss...

Relax sis. It took me a while to get the right setting too. For a start I just put it to 12 o'clock and let it run for a day before putting in my gear. Then got to slowly adjust to get the right setting. Mine is at about 9 o'clock position. I also realised that it depends on how much gear i have in the box. Sometimes I take out 2-3 lenses to shoot, when I return home, the settings would fall below my set humidity.

Do you switch on your aircon? I called Digihub for the past 2 days.. They said, switch off power and open your digicab for 1/2 hr, then close it w/ the knob at 12 oclock position, then slowly adjust to your desired RH. Aircon plays a part in the RH also accrd to that guy..

pal, that is small deviation only lah. Within 46-55 still a a normal and safe humidity zone.
Hmm.. i wonder why you guys need so many days to stabilise. For my akarui, it takes just hours to reach a level that it stays consistently.

well when all else fails, check the sensor. Maybe the sensor has something wrong. Actually, for humidity sensors, they are very inaccurate. So if you want, turn off the unit and open the door, see if the humidity level rises.
Another thing. Is the hygrometer near any heat source? Temperature can also cause changes in the humidity level.

Well, to avoid being too technical, this is what I will comment:
If you place your dry cabinet near the air con, your dry cabinet is going to work harder to keep the contents dry. This is because when the dry cabinet is near the air con, it is going to be colder than normal. Below is a rough relationship between temperature and humidity. I will consider a normal day in Singapore at 32 deg and 50% in the cabinet.

So assuming if you set your air con to 23 deg, between the day and night, the dry cabinet will have to work harder to remove the extra humidity from the cabinet. But when the monring comes, the cabinet is dry and the air con is turned off, the humidity may drop to almost 20%! Further, since you place the dry cabinet near the aircon, the temperature may be as low as 18 degrees! So if your dry cabinet does not dry the cabinet fast enough, you may find that there may be occasional condensation inside the cabinet.

It's ok. The temperature at daytime is about 32 deg celsius. At night, it should drop to about 27 deg celsius. A typical dry cabinet is able to dry your cabinet to the right humidity in about 15-30min, but the air-con can cool the room in probably less than 5 min. Since you place the unit near the air con, it will probably take less time than that. Furthermore, the hygrometer usually has a retarded response of about 10min, which adds to the problem.
The cabinet is, and must be, designed to seal tight against moisture, but not temperature. So at night, when the temperature drops, the system will simply interprete that the humidity has risen, and will help you clear the excess moisture. But in the morning, the temperature rises, and the humidity drops drastically, there is no devices that can add back that moisture for you. This can cause problems for rubbery surfaces as you may have heard from other threads. So take note.
