Well, prices have dropped but most of the price of the lens is GLASS, and optical glass costs $$$!

If you want cheaper lenses they could always replace the glass with plastic...like the Holga cameras.

Naah ... i dun mean that. I meant that good optics will always keep better value than state-of-the-art electronics, which will only remain s-o-t-a for the day it was conceived.

holga? I think i saw 1 holga camera selling at 2000 baht in Thailand.

Mike, this is the lens u talking about?

Well, that is a Holga lens, but Holga cameras are known for poor quality optics, light leaks (exposing the film), etc. The original Lensbaby was developed with the Holga in mind.

hey.. thanks for the webbys.. reading about it now..

so OM lenses are SLR lenses. so with an adapter, u can use it on a DSLR?juz that it's manual focus?

so i can't buy modern lenses like nikon(or other brands) to fit to my e510? even there's an adapter for it?

pls correct me if i'm wrong.. thanks
Would suggest you follow the advice of the lau-chios here .... stick to a lens initially, get the hang of both camera and that lens before thinking of getting your lens ....

BTW how is your search getting along?
