hello people, I've got some questions that i wish you all can enlighten me !! its mostly about using all the SLR era lenses on a EOS body

1) is it possible to use this older manual lens on EOS body?
2) which model is compatible with the EOS body or "adaptable" without compromising too much of quality
3) FD lenses although canon brand but are the most incompatible with their eos models , true or false?
4) which brand of SLR film camera should i start go with, if i want to "share" lenses with my canon EOS.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

1) is it possible to use this older manual lens on EOS body?
Yes.

2) which model are compatible with the EOS body or "adaptable" without compromising too much of quality
Those that has adapter are compatable to EOS. Which type of mounting u refering to M42? P6? Leica-R? M39? Google on EOS adapter. of course u cannot mount rangefinder lenses to EOS.

3) FD lenses although canon brand but are the most incompatible with their eos models , true or false?
There are 2 type of FD to EOS adapter. One with lens element, one without. With lens can focus to infinity, but image quality will be affected by extra lens element. The one without, u cannot focus to infinity.

4) which brand of SLR film camera should i start go with, if i want to "share" lenses with my canon EOS.
I can only tell u about how I share lenses with my slr & dslr.

Pentax Super Program + M42-PK adapter to use carl zeiss jena M42 lenses and M42-EOS adapter

Leica R8 with R series lenses and LR-EOS adapter

P6-EOS tilt adapter for Pentacon 6 lenses to EOS

imho, If u just want to try film using your existing eos lenses... just get a 2nd eos slr.

If u want to try your hands on manual lenses & slr, you will be opening a flood gate.... of the bbb virus.... wahaha
