I totally agree that the tripod is something that can last you for many many years to come, so spend abit more for a quality one and its actually a very worthy investment. Imagine using a cheapo one and then your expensive camera fell with 1 accidental knock! Thats more heartache... :thumbsup:

A friend of mine using the "free" tripod given by Nikon think its the one mentioned. It's flimsy, shakey not stable at all, I'm using a Benro one and am quite happy with the stablility.
