Question on Sound mode to set on H4n

Hi,

I need some help in the settings on the H4n for sound input. I am using a Nikon D90 for collecting images (24 fps).

Which sound mode should i set the H4n so that it best synchronises? (There are wav, mpeg 3 , avi, and at many different hertzs). So confusing...

What is the post processing (on Sony Vegas/ Premier Pro) that i should do so that the lips sync with the words?

Haha.. Thanks.

Any capture is fine, WAV is an uncompressed format, and will yield best sound quality.

It doesn't matter if you're capturing on 24P or 30P, what matters is when you're capturing the sound and the video separately, don't alter the frame rate in FCP or anything.
So basically don't bump 24p up to 30p you might then get problems.

Thanks Adamdewilde!

Any other advice is appreciated.

Use a clapper board. It helps when you are aligning video to sound.

make sure check what is the freq of yr cam. 44Khz or 48Khz. Wrong one will have time lag issues.

Thanks. I tried to look for the settings on Nikon D90. Does any one know whats the freq?

Thanks.
