Thanks, BTW can you ask your friends do they have to wait long for the repairs?

I'm wondering if there is any Quality problems... since the shutter button is defective in just 2 months of occasional use :dunno:

I am one of the friend that Tsystem has mentioned. I went down twice, first time for them to check what's wrong with it and the second time to repair. It took them 5 days to repair. However, I did wait for 2 weeks before the spare part comes to s'pore. I paid $70+ because I did not have the purchase receipt/warranty, even tho' my set is less than 3 mths old.

it's sad. But that is the way they make business. Just like my faulty ram also. I forgot where I put the receipt. Ended up I needed to pay ;( (PC ram, not camera one!)

tat's what i thought so. As long as it's made by Nikon, it should be valid no matter where u r. At least not limited to high end Nikon equipments only.
