Question about 50mm summilux version 2

Hi Bros,

I just acquired a mint chrome 50mm summilux v2 via evilbay (made in 1960s), but the aperture ring is a bit loose, got some play in it, although the clicks are still there and the aperture blades movement are still ok.

The focus ring is also a bit stiff at 1.5m point, after that is ok again.

Are those normal issues for ~40+ yrs lens, do i need to check it up for repair or those can be left alone?

Sounds like your lens needs to be serviced. I have two pieces of these lenses (black, from the 1970s) and they do not have the issues you mention here.

I think at least $180 to re-lube the focussing helicoid.
