This statue was removed a few months back.

I hope that someone knows where it is now.

Where was it located initially?

By the way, your avatar, she is carrying a Matador?

Rendell,

It's next to the big PUB substation.

Yes, she's carrying a Matador.

Great take of Queenstown bro.

Hi xtemujin, thank you! On the statues, I do not have the slightest impression that photographed place! And i dun recall seeing any this big. =]

Lovely takes Desmond! #6 is really good, I like it alot

Hi Scoop, glad you like it. It's my pick too =] After all it was a good thing that he ran out of frame. haa

Maybe that's the same seats 30yrs ago. He and his friends sits @ the same seats for yrs to chat.... Now, he's the only one left when time flies... Memories remains...

Maybe can saturate the photo more so that it look aged. Creates a sad nostalgic feel of lost, sadness, lonely and end of time....

Hi Ambious, thanks for the suggestion! IMHO, further saturation would make those dark areas indistinguishable. Alternatively I could have overlay with some textures. However, i do not have any stock pictures =]

NUMBER 2 GETS MY VOTE! The whole feel and mood is there =) awesome pic

Hi DonnyDan, i'm using evaluative (450D). i couldn't agree with you more abt #10. haa. It's beyond salvage. but i like the idea of overlooking the buildings in construction =]

re: picture of a man sitting. This is great for me. I feel lots of emotions(stories as well) being captured in this photo. Great job!

Great photos. Queenstown was where I grown up too. Still remember I watched late night movies in this cinema with my primary school friends and played bowling. Then walked back to Commonwealth together. It's been like 20 over years ago.

Good memories looking at these photos. Bro, please let me know when you're going there again to shoot. I would like to join you. :)

i grew up in that area during my primary school days and those pictures really bring back memories. Especially the Playground where me and my classmates used to play silly games like blind mice.. =)

Which primary school were you in bro? I'm at Hua Yi Primary School, which no longer exists. The school building is currently used by MOE for marking exam papers I think.

Hey I used to stay at Blk 6C.

The man in Photo #08 is my neighbour at this block. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

The 2nd level flatform is the best. These days HDB do not have space/land for such structure.

woah block 6 C...
