Sadly its moving finally. Nice place to dine with the nostalgic feel to it. Level 2 is one of the more cooling/windy hawker centres in Singapore.

One of the best chicken rice on the second level, long time never visit there.

Queenstown hawker center? U mean the one at margaret drive? After queenstown sec sch? Near the polyclinic? Level two nice chicken rice? If all above is correct, the chickden rice stall had moved to opposite building already for sometime, between the old cinema/bowl. Ground floor. 38 commonwealth ave. Lookout for the sinage, they are somewhere in the middle.

I've some photos in my blog that was taken last month, January 2011, with the surrounding Margaret Drive.
In a few years it'll be highly unrecognisable.
The NTUC Fairprice has closed shop.

My wife and I used to go to eat "Guo Tia" on the 2nd floor. Will miss the place. Studied hereby there during Secondary School days. Used to walk walk and eat there after school.
Yeah, one of the best chicken rice at Level 2 and also the Cha Kway Teow at level 1.
Not too sure where they have located now?:dunno:
Should try the Duck rice there too if you are there this weekend.... ;p
Heard they are moving to Jurong area.

I heard they are converting it to a ruined building for XMM Lingerie shoot.Is it true that they are going to replace it with a Camera Shops Supermall?

i also studied there last time, that area used to have lot of ah bengs and ah sengs when the cinema still on business.
now that area is becoming "old town", quieter a lot...

Guo tie stall moving to Mei Ling St Hawker centre i think. The fishball stall is already there.
Char Kway Teow moved to Telok Blangah Crescent Hawker Centre. Why do they keep tearing down old buildings..haa. But its prime area..worth alot!

i tried once before but was disappointed.
has anyone tried that one at blk 22A havelock road? the old man fried one...but that was like so long ago, think he died liao....
