Yeah, its true. There was a Nat geo docu on china recently abt the great wall. They also mentioned that the Chinese astronaut confirmed that the wall could not be seen from space.

I think u still mixed up. At the era of Qin Shi Huang, he (and his ppl) would not know there were Tibetians, Muslims etc. Qin & the other 6/7 warring states were from what is referred to as modern days central China area, while the Tibetians are from south west far far away, and Muslim are from their far away origins as well. They would have no contacts or no knowledge that each other existed. Moreover they are actually 500-700 years aparts in time as well.
For comparison, Bush and Hitler both made many mistakes, and both tried hard to hide the mistakes from their citizens.

If you're refering to Han Chinese, then its Qin. But the muslims and the tibetans are just the ethnic minorities. Their territories were added into or subtracted from China at different times during the rise and fall of different dynasties.
They have continued with their tradition, culture and even language, which is why trucks load of interpreters are require for the different minorities during the recent People's Political Consultative Conference.
The muslims consist of many different ethnic minorities ie. Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kirghiz, Tajik etc.
Tibet even has its own goverment-in-exile in India, led by the Dalai Lama.
Its a long story. The correct understanding should be that Qin conquered the 6/7 warring states (near and around the Yellow River) and became the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (about 200BC). Few hundreds years later this became Han Dynasty, so the ppl are referred to as Han tribe (or Han Chinese), the next many hundred years Hans fought against many other tribes, Tibetians, Mongols, Manchus, etc, eventually Manchus conquered everyone and became Qing Dynasty.
Seriously speaking, Chinese is still spilt today (mainland China, Taiwan, Mongolia).

Qin dynasty defeated the 6 other states around 221BC. But it collapsed in around 206BC with the start of mass uprising initially led by Chen Sheng and Wu guang. Then came the uprising all over the country and then only left Chu and Han. Which is historically known as the 楚汉争霸. Then in the end Chu Ba wang Xiang yu committed suicide at Wu Jiang, ending this period.
Then dun need few hundreds years later, Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty. It is during 汉孝武帝 period where Han Dynasty rose up to great heights. They launched massive expeditions against the Xiong Nu (Hun) and drove them to slowly shift to Europe. Because this period....ppl are so proud of it....that they proclaimed themselves as Han Chinese, similarly why ppl call themselves Tang Ren. However Han Chinese essentially ceased to exist by bloodline....as the blood had been diluted in the Wu Hu Ruan Hua Period, Wu Dai Shi Guo Period.
For Muslim.....I do not thinK it exist until 600+AD cannot be early the Mohammad period right?
Manchus do not really conquered everyone....at least not for mongols. They entered into a series of inter-marriages. In the inner court....alot of the ladies were from Mongolia. Even if China is split it does not imply chinese is split. China is made up of 56(?) ethnic groups. Unless u mean Chinese as nationality.....

During Qin dynasty there is no such concept as Han Chinese yet. It should come about from Han WuDi period and the concept is further enhanced during the Jin Dynasty, after the Qi Wang zi Ruan leading to the Northern tribes entered Central Plains. But essentially most of the northern tribes dynasties got absorbed into Central Plains culture and adopted most of their practices. The most famous will be Bei Wei Xiao Wen Di....during which...he shifted the capital to luoyang, adopted chinese surname and court manners......

During Qin Shi Huang period I dun thinK he make ppl speak chinese language. He did unite the writings of the 7 states into a uniform writing characters.
He did start the building of great wall......but the present great wall dun think any part is from Qin dynasty. Mostly if not all.......are from Ming Dynasty period.
His other major contributions I can think is 1. Unite the Roads (by making the axle of the carriage the same) 2. Unite the currency
Oops, u are correct, the time between Qin dynasty and Han dynasty is definitely not "few hundred years".
There were a few great height periods in Chinese history, one in Han Dynasty, then in the Tang Dynasty, then in the Ming Dynasty, and hopefully in the 21th Century again!
