Not really. It might seem easy to read map...., but when you are busy taking pictures and if you are going to bash..... so just a suggestion, bring compass; at least one per group.
Learn how to use compass correctly with map.

my advice
1) assign someone to bring basic first aid kit with
-) Panadol
-) Charcoal pills
-) Gastric Pills
-) Plasters
-) Antispectic wash
For the rest, each person bring the following.
2) Bring lots of water, dont go bring packet drinks or things hard to carry. Each bring their own bottles
3) Bring a powerful torch (Just in case you are still in the interior of Ubin when night falls. It is very very dark in there....)
4) Bring a rain coat, jacket or poncho
5) Wear sensible shoes
6) Bring insect repellent
7) Bring a cap or better still a hat
8) Bring a whistle (so that you can whistle and find each other but dont go whistling all the way in the bushes!)
8) Bring a set of clothes to change if your bag has space. (in case you get drenched by rain)
9) Bring a backpack not other kind of bags, it will be easier on your shoulders
10) Bring snacks such as dried apricots, bread and cereal bars, Easy to carry and light.
If you are travelling so much, take a bike. Walking will tire you guys out and leave stragglers behind.
IMPT TO NOTE: Don't go swimming in the Quarries no matter how shallow it looks!! Many incidents of drowning have occured there. Due to the underwater structure of the quarry, there are pockets of icy cold water in the quarry. Can give you cramps and then the rest is history.....

I forgot one more thing... get the number of the rangers and taxi drivers. In case you are stuck in the interior and can't find your way out. Stay at a landmark and call them... so dont forget to bring handphone.....

though effective.i recommend poncho, disposable will also do. can be purchased at ubin. though reuseable is more environ friendly abit.
i dont use hat/cap/sunglasses cause i feel very laychey, hair band works enough.
though if you want to bring, bring visor. cooling yet works.
i wrap my camera in my spare clothes.
please keep to 1 backpack and please try not to bring your collection of lenses. otherwise how to cycle!
determine 1 or 2 more versatile ones or entirely up to you lah.
