Will PS3 be region base? Will it have online or "live" like xbox? That will be the main considering feature for me to decide between PS3 and Xbox360. ;p

yeah, i've been reading a lot today about the ps3 (going abit crazy soon) and official sources have said that there will be online gaming and communities, sorta like XBox Live.

i will go for PS3 anyday over the xbox360.

having said that, i will still get both when i have the $$$, best of both worlds.

but will get the PS3 first for sure.

will PS3 be able to play PS2/PS games?

will it be "hackable" to play games from across the causeway?

1st ans: what hanoman said.

2nd ans: only if them across the causeway manage to "hack" friggin BLU-RAY DISCS and make them cheap cos the PS3 uses 54GB BLU-RAY DISCS.

this is gonna create a hole larger than i ever imagined a pocket could have.

drool....
specs are nice and it looks cool but i hope the ps3 keeps the edge in games. not an online gamer so i really hope they'll still have plenty of single player rpgs like FF or grandia.
sigh, between photography and saving for a ps3, cannot even afford grass

one of the major electrical chip are made by the software designed by me.
so buy Xbox!

;p "Out of the box, the PS3 will have the capability to support seven Bluetooth controllers, which can be used for nearly 24 hours before they require charging. Later, pictures of the controllers themselves were released, showing their almost boomerang-like shape. It will also have six USB slots for peripherals: four up front and two in the back. As rumored, it will also have Wi-Fi connectivity to the PSP, which can be used as a remote screen and/or controller."

that spec reads like some cray supercomputer!!

from what I read, it has been confirmed that the PS3 will be faster and more powerful than the XBOX360 but the latter is easier to program from the programmer's point of view.

Isn't that what they said in the past when PS2 launched, but yet look at the number of games available for PS :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
