Wah!! Thanks for all the reply and welcome!! Makes me feel at ease.


Definitely i will bring my camera out to explore 1 of these days but maybe not so soon to join in the outings as 1 only have a kit lens. I'm worried alot of photos i will have a limit of capturing the right moment since its only a kit lens.

I have used mine under the sun like 2 / 3 times only to a max of 3 hours only & mine has appeared yellowish already.
(should have gotten the red one instead. Anyone wants to trade your red to my white? LOLS)

White will also turn yellowish when exposed to air...

Wah, I think I better not buy white. but white dslr is really chio! red is chio too! if there's navy, i would buy too.

this whole issue abt white turning yellow/yellowish is to be expected. its not that the QC is substandard or anything, but thats the very nature of white: once dirty / discolored, its very obvious.

put it another way: would you wear a branded white long-sleeve shirt to eat chilli crabs?

Yea, after consideration again, i'm still going to get this white beauty. Probably next month, hah. The body is coated with white right? and does it get scratched easily with fingernails?

Feel sorry for you sister joyce... but then again when kx turns yellow gives every reason to upgrade the body...

i have used mine so far for mostly outdoor shoots with minimal shade and phew... haven't come to that condition yet...
the most recent shoot was for the japan gt race in sepang which was mostly under the sun...

i guess maybe my big fat body helped in blocking the sun??? haha...

I'm a lady & I leave long fingernails with Manicure, and so far mine has no scratches yet.

you must be ready for the attention or sometimes lack of from others...

learnt this when i was at the japan gt race in sepang... while waiting for the pit walk... i was in the world of nikons and canons... all eyes never failed to look at my white kx... coz i was in the world of black slrs... haha... really akward feeling...

i also realised one more thing... with the exception of sg where it is common... elsewhere people dun take you seriously with a kx... but the heck! as long as i'm happy...

hahaha. i'm a student, so probably i won't be going to event to take picture, most probably i would do is going around Singapore taking pictures which I think it's nice :thumbsup: Yea i considered this fact before about getting Pentax which ppl will say "What brand is this??? New brand ah?? Why don't take nikon or canon?!?!". I'm ready to face that! :bsmilie:
