Just some record shots from a few dives in Tioman for Project AWARE 2007

This is what we were after to reduce their numbers - the crown of thorns starfish

Yeah, it was a pretty good trip - vis could have been better, but had fun nevertheless.

the bluespotted stingray is nice! careful its very poisonous though..

poisonous? nah. not that I would ever eat one I know other people do.

I think he's referring to the Stingray's tail.

Remember how Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) died? Though it is rare (as rare as a person getting his heart pierced by a bullray), there had been cases of divers who had unknowingly stepped onto a sting ray and received a nasty stung on the their legs.

Cools pics, by the way, esp the coral catshark. You are very lucky to have spotted one. ;)

If something is poisonous, you have to ingest the toxin to suffer ill effects. If it is venomous, you have to bitten or stung.

So, if "I think, therefore I am", then what if I don't think? ... hahah
