only show your best not your practise shots unless they meet the mark!

I m still in the stage of learning so thought sending the photos to CS to receive comments help to improve my skills further. If I do offended some of you photographers out there by producing such lousy qualities images, my sincere apologies as I am not aware of the standard CS have for such a forum page.

now that u know. its pointless for us to critic if the photo isn't going to even slightly make it. so do post only your best and learn from it, and not post your worst and not learning anything from it.

besides using sensor clean button, face down your camera (in manual cleaning mode) and use a blower to rapidly blow the sensor for a while.

I agreed, they are underexposed as the "Studio" lightings were not properly set up. They are just promoting their Studio products and letting us trying them so as far as proper lightings are concerned, it is not the profession type which the Studio do. Thanks for your comment.

Actually, there are nothing wrong with the lighting. I took a quick look at your exif data for your pictures, and found that the under-exposed shots are mostly taken at f/11, iso 100, shutter about 1/125. If anything, there should be more than enough light to go around. Maybe you should review the way you decide your exposure and understand better how your camera metering works. Actually, correct me if I am wrong,I suspect your original pictures were more under-exposed and what you have now is after trying to tweak the exposure in Lightroom? The photos would have benefited from a moderate dose of contrast.

Agreed. My settings were not correct so the photos were underexposed. I did some adjustment with Lightroom to brighten some areas. I was not good at setting the right f/stop, shutter speed and ISO to get good exposure. Still on my learning stage and have since improved slightly more on the settings after watching some videos on exposure and how to get good and clear exposure. Hopefully, in the future my photo will be up to the standard to display here at CS or else I will loose my face again. No face to see other photographers.

Thanks for your tips. I have done it and have also used the sensor cleaning function on my camera to do the cleaning too. Hope that will get rid of the dirt and the next time when I take pics, it will be better.

Use a LED torch and look at the sensor. Can easily see dust if it's there.

Hi TS, was this the same event you went to? the lighting look totally different.
