Hmm guess i would practice my art on the 24-70. When i get more confident and have the ability to afford a second body, i would perhaps get a UWA lens. Ive seen many weddings images taken with a UWA, with skills, the images are really epic!!
I shoot w prime on 1 body, it can be done if u know what u want to shoot, even during march in, it is possible to change len and shoot easily.
Of cource when i change len, i just dump the len into my front waist pouch, and swap len, all without rear or front lens cap .. that way, it take less than 10sec and u r ready to shoot again. Just dun worry abt dust, len is meant to be use , not keep in vacuum box. Lol ..
I generally dun use 2 cam body, although i have, as i find it troublesome to fiddle w 2 cam exposure/iso setting etc .. rather use one cam.

Yes, at the start use what you have to do your job and get paid.
Once you have save enough you can think of getting another body or prime lens.
For now you can use your zoom as prime as well.
Just fixed a focal length you like to master or try.
You be surprise what you can achieve.
Back in the film days, I used to use 28mm f/2.8 prime for wedding whole day.
It is easy to manual focus as it is bright and not that heavy for whole day work.
Though I have zoom now, I still fixed at certain focal length to do my work.
