hi

anyone visited prime camera centre before? bought anything there? it's just besides CP with alot of 2nd stuffs on display.. is this shop a "trust-able" shop?

regards

no one? i saw a 70-200 F2.8L selling at 1280...

To me, Prime Camera is a very reliable seller of 2nd hand cameras and lenses. I know this as I have bought some cameras and lenses from them.

prime is a trust worthy shop. I have bought many items as well as traded in many items with them. :) Good after sales service as well at least to me.

Cheers~

one of my favorite shops as they seem to have a lot of stuff hat the others don't always have. D1x at 2.1k with 4batts anyone?

Price is quote slightly high for his things but good in quality.

It's expensive but trustworthy.

You can check out his brother's store (P & G in Adelphi basement) for other gear too. A bit more reasonably priced over there.

Wah! thats is cheap (depends on the age and condition of course!). Thanks for putting this up.

Cheers!

I did Chk out his 1dMkii the other day at $6800 without warranty (2nd HAND). When I ask if it's local set and has warranty expired, he say no warranty water goods.

I ask if price can be lower, he stated it's market price.

I'm NOT too sure if you consider this good price:thumbsd:

To be objective = AGE + CONDITION = PRICE.

In anycase for ay resale shop, it's good to chk out market price before committing.

BASIC Theory is "you buy I sell", don;t buy then complain high price.

Will you buy a 1year + 1DMkII @ $6800 ?:sweatsm:

Personally, I will look at their price first and then go to other reseller .Their so call 'market price' is very much higher than the rest .

i've gotten things from them that is of lower price then deals that have closed on this forum. And in similar condition too! Buyers luck i guess.

that's because the prices in this forum are too high

Well you can't quite expect everything at a particular shop to be cheap can you? The guy has to make a living for crying out loud :bsmilie: All second hand shops are like that, some things are cheap, some are not. Buy the cheap ones!

Went there couple of times after work and they simply ignored me (my attire, I guess). Just wondering: Do I need to wear coat and tie to be noticed in there?

I was wearing PE teacher's attire: T-shirt, berms, track shoes.

Hi,

I think for S$6800, if you wanna pay abit higher, you can get one new one. If I not wrong.

Regards

i think everywhere is like that, the other day went to enquire about a 300D with kit lens at TCW.
The sales person told me $1320.i was like
2nd hand somemore with some scratches no grip,i just smile and walk off.

You should have used your miniskirts, lah! What is 'berms' by the way?

Maybe they just wanted to let you browse the shop on yourself, instead of asking 'what you want?'

I believe this is one of the few shops that doesn't really have to make a living from selling used cameras. He has enough repair jobs to do that those alone can cover his overhead........
