Saw this at the shop....
selling Nikon D300.

Yen 228,000 = Est Sin$2923 (Body only)

Kit with 18-200mm lens = Yen 316,000 = Est Sin $4051
Kit with 18-70mm Lens = Yen 268,000 = Est Sin $3435

Most shops quoted me $2700 inclusive of GST. One shop on the 1st floor of SLS (not Alan Photos and I can't recall the shop's name) quoted me $2580 w/o GST yesterday. AT Mustafa, I saw a price tag of $2710 (price inclusive of gst)

Hmmm still it does not justify paying an extra $300 for a d300 at sitex.

But what's the market price for the "gretagmacbeth display calibrator"? Sound like $200+ type of stuff.

Using 2x Scandisk Ultra II CF 2GB as ref = $48 x 2 = $96
LCD protector, approx. $10?

So really may come out to be square 1.

The display calibrator was sold at Harvey Norman for $39 a while back.. Not sure if there is still any more stock.

Then, like really no big deal. Bcos normally the tripod is CMI brand one.

If to get a tripod, is always better to pay a bit more and get a rock solid heavy strong one, and it should last for life and most important better support.

Will drop by Mustafa more often, until cannot take it anymore....then....
