if i got a biz trip to bkk in july, i may get the 10D and i am willing to offer my services to anyone who considering getting anything from there. with my limited thai lang and bigger purchase, hopefully can get some more discounts. so if u are keen, do PM me but dunt give me conditions like partial payments or give me SGD$ to convert to Baht hor..coz i dunt want to take any currency conversion risk. tks!

Hi guys! I am actually interested in the 120-300mm f/2.8 Sigma. Is there any way I can find out the price? I dun mind meeting to pass baht to either. The problems faced are the warrenty etc.. :bsmilie:

me 5-17july going reservist..so most prob is only end july may go thailand for biz trip..me not too concern abt warranty as i am using the used 10D price as a gauge..seem that current used 10D selling at $2200 level so if i can get a new 10D at $2300 from thailand, it is a better deal to me. actually the sigma 120-300 is attractive to me also..haha..but limited $$ lah..
Hi, Just came back with a 300d from Bangkok (MBK)
Apparently most shops at MBK dont charge VAT so u wont be able to claim that back at the airport.
But still I've noted that the 300d is significantly cheaper (SGD$14XX only !!) -no international warranty. CF cards are generally more expensive i feel. I think Eastgear / SLS would be cheaper. 10D is about SGD$2.5k. lenses, flashes are generally slightly more expensive there.

10D $2500 only?? :cry: :think: then maybe not much saving liao.. got a qoute of $2700 in singapore for a new one recently..

actually wat i mean is tt i thought afte VAT rebate and exchange rate, a new 10D body will cost me SGD$2300, then it is v attractive for a grey set. but if it will cost $2500, then i may rather spend $2688 for a new one at CP with singapore warranty..
haiz, me not going thailand, tmw evening going india instead n most prob next wk go indonesia.thailand maybe in aug..hehe..i praying hard next wk i will get a small bonus to buy a 10D, if i get any.. :cry: ;p
i am going bkk for my biz trip finally, 27 to 29th, but not sure if i got any time to spare to shop at all also.. if i got time, i shd be getting a 10D there.. not confirm yet..but if anyone want anything, i can consider to help buy back..but not BIG CASH items..
