To me the Japs have lost out to the Koreans in LCD, that's just my take only.

Don't really like the R1 LCD.
I prefer the LCD from the Panasonic LX1.

How could the LCD be considered good when it's only 2", has only 134,000 pixels and a low frame rate (jerky). Even the T30 has a bigger and better LCD display at 3" and 230,400 pixels.

Only if FZ30 zoom lens starts from 28mm, I would have bought it.

Not many digicam has such a wide angle as the R1 24-120mm lens.


pixel-peeped at some of the shots taken with the R1. Very good and 'clean' indeed. Don't have the noise compared to the LX1 and Pro1.
But the small dots of highlights rendered looks a little strange.
