Price Of New 300d???? Help

want to buy a 300D and have been asking around.
a shop in sim lim is selling BODY ONLY at $1400.

isn't that a bit low?

just wondering if there's a catch :think:

sounds low.....which shop? most impt of all do they have stock? some don't have stock any how quote so as to make u think they their stuffs are cheap, then convince u buy other stuffs, which may not be cheap at all...............

I got a bit turned off so I thought I should come and check here, before I buy.

he say the kit lens is useless and if I have EF lenses, I have nothing to worry about

Why didn't u tell him that u would take it and FoFF. Let him bring the product out and show u. If the warranty card shows Canon Sg, then everything is fine. Must importantly, ask for the receipt.

I would recommend TK Photo technic. Excellent customer service price with lens kit $1780 GST inc. i purchased the 300D kit and a 256 scandisk CF Card for $1990. Normal retail shop would cost about 1999. I tried cathay however theirs were priced at 1800+ i think. The salesman was helpful and offered to roughly teach me how to use the camera. He even guided me the way to his shop via sms.

I've been buying all my stuff from Sim Lim SQ... and IMO, the only shop worth buying from in Sim Lim Sq is : Alan Photo, Merdeka Audio, Dynasty Audio & Hai Chew....

Sim lim is great lah, but the pricing is always damn dodgy. Everytime buy something from there its difficult to tell if the damn thing is used/new, whether it will break or not...or whether some part of the kit will be missing....and it really doesn't matter whether you pay a good price for the things there or not. Sometimes you pay more, also kenna problem, pay less also problem. Sians.....

Where is this TK Photo Technic??
