Price of Dive Watches

posting this on behalf of my dad. He recently received a diving watch as a gift, and he'd like to know the price range of dive watches. he's just being curious. haha.

so how much would, say, a very simple one cost?

As little as S$10 . Depends on what brand/model and just how "real" a diving watch it is.

A pre co-axial Omega Seamaster Diver is S$2600. The quartz version is $2000.
The later co-axial version is $4000.

Just FYI, a Rolex Sea dweller is about S$7500.

I agree.. Dive watches & dive computers are 2 different products.

totally different

dive comp calculates ur NDL while the dive watches just keep track of time and depth

Computers have limits which is why some divers have to resort to watch (tech/commercial/deep deep deep divers)

Computers are mostly limited by the Recreational Dive tables, which are not suitable for deep technical or commercial divers, which might go to depths that are out reach for most of us.

there are dive computers for really deep dives but those are special ones

so prices of dive comps ranges from $250-$3000 maybe more

a good $500-600 one would satisfy and serve you quite well for most recreational sport diving
