I really really really dig that 2.5" LCD screen.... just hope that it does not suck up too much battery juice.... otherwise also no point.... the resolution is 200K+ pixels right? Would that be pixelated - not unlike the Casio digicam that has a 2.0" LCD screen as well....? Any tidbits regarding this point, anyone?

Just wondering, if that kit option mentioned in kmt at dpreview hit the shores, i'll expect the buy and sell to be flooded with 2500 flashes...

Personally, i don't intend to start collecting minolta (d) flashes... I'm already shooting myself in the head, wondering why i've gotten the 3600 in the first place... and now it's sitting on the side lines watching the 5600 in the field...

I don't think it will take up much, 7D's AS only activate upon the shutter is pressed, unlike Ax series can be set to full-time.

Talking about juice, don't forget the 7D was stated to use the np-140 battery pack used in the A series. And it's one of the highest capacity battery pack (of its form) used in a camera. So i guess juice wouldn't be a problem. And i have AS running all the time on my A1 and no juice problem. Guessed that minolta learned about this from their D5 (which i own) and D7 series.

Too many buttons in opinion but the interface is sure friendlier than the D30 where u have to access lots of menus to get at the subtler stuff....... this friendly interface is a legacy of the 7 that we are using now...

Hmmm...from the user interface, it loos like the layout of the coming D7D is leveraged healivily based oon the Axx series PCB layout.

.....Okay on lens pricing.....I was around the camera triangle yesterday(penin/Adelphi) and chatted with the 2nd hand shops..
".....Prices on current 2nd Hand Minolta is expected to rise........when the 7D hit our shores...."
