Price of 40D is quite low - a pricing strategy to counter Nikon new products

yes, good strategy. i know that i won't be swapping from Canon anytime soon. most likely never so hopefully their next couple of new lineups learn a few lessons from this one.

Kudos to Canon for bringing the prices of cameras down so that more people could afford them. They brought DLSRs to the masses when they introduced 300D, and even in film days, when they introduced low-end SLRs like EOS 300. :thumbsup:
