Price lowered for S3 Pro?

Saw this on DPreview, apparently S3 Pro price has dropped in US.

Fujifilm has just made the Finepix S3 Pro camera more affordable! The new price for the S3 Pro System kit is now only $1299.95 Includes: HyperUtility RAW conversion software and AC adapter. Or you can take advantage of the body only package for $1199.95


$1299.95 US dollars is only about $2000 SGD. Anyone knows if our local shops has matched this price yet?

I think the price is lower 699 pounds from what I read.

So the big question is has the local prices dropped? nobody checked? I already bought my s3pro so not very nice to disturb MScolor about the price

the last i check, the price is still hovering around S$2.5k/.+- thereabouts.
not much has changed. best price i think is still with MS Colors.

FujiFilm has replaced the current S3Pro with the upgraded version in Canada. its coming to England soon.

£699 is a good price. around S$2k?

us price is like US$1189 and with the current exchange rate, maybe some of you guys may want to consider buying from US. But watch out for the warranty issues, Fujifulm has astronomical prices (officially) for sensor replacement. dunno how much they will charge actually though

If with lens, depending on what lens, say the 18-70mm Nikon kit lens, $2K is a fine deal for a 1yr old S3pro. But if body alone, I don't think it is worth it. Prices will certainly drop over next couple of months for brand new S3pro as we are seeing <S$2000 prices overseas.

Yup, I look forward to S3pro price drop, too, but better to get the buffer upgraded version. Then again, we can always hope for the S4pro...

Until then, while my S2pro draws breath, I'm sticking with the old workhorse.

Thanks for your advice. I finally got the answer & in fact now is the trend whether to get in lower or higher price for a 2nd hand camera. I appreicate for all the help from yours.
Sometimes back I played with tradional cameras like Nikon FE2, FM2 & even FA. That time those camera are professional enough for me to take photos. I do invest a lot for lens like zoom, fisheye, macros & teleport with sorts of filters.
But when I switch to digital camera, I find out there is a lot difference in terms of focus & shuttle speed are so much different. I guess may be I only use lowend digital camera. Thats the reason I aim for Fuji Pro camera since S2 pro first came out until now. And I have S602, pretty good only can't change any lens during some shot like watching live sports games & night time shot. Brightness is not up to what I expect. But overall still satisfactory.
Anyway I saw some threads, some bros mention S9000 series having some mechanism problems. Probably due to electronic part not design well just like computer pcs.
I hope future can communicate with you guys & share more experience.

From the rumors, it will probably be a 10MP with anti shake and under S$2k. Some even say it has dust removal....

If it is really so good, it is hard for the mid range DSLRs to keep the price... Example D200 which uses sony 10MP sensor but selling at $2.7k... while the sony 10MP DSLR with anti shake + (maybe dust removal) selling for $2k...
