Let me have a go at it, 8GB card about $42, 4GB (Comes with the D90 from any other store so its considered to be free), Nikon Case (Not sure how much maybe $20?), SDHC Card Reader (free with SD cards for some brands), extra battery (not sure too maybe $30?), 36L dry cabinet $109, LCD protector $5, cleaning kit $10.
So, 1879 - 42 - 20 - 30 - 109 - 5 - 10 = 1663
So you are paying $1663 for a D90 kit which to me is not a good price as you can get it at around $1650 which means you are paying an extra $13 and further more, you have to pay via credit card online and have sufficient amount of trust in them for doing purchases with them which still means its not worth it. $1690 at Lords will guarantee you good service although you pay $27 more for good service. Good ain't it? Or you can get it at $1650 at street price and at least you will still have some form of service but at bargain city you get NONE!

Question are : the salesman said he will switch the 18 - 105 Vr lens switch with this 18 - 135mm lens cos the 18 - 135 mm is better. Are the bundle worth buying ?? and is it true that 18 - 135 (no VR ) is better. Or just trying to chop me??

don't know about the bundled items but $1200 for BO sounds like an excellent price. most early buyers bought the kit for ard $1600-$1650 and were selling off their kit lens for $350-$400.
also, forget about the sales talk. other than the longer 30mm, the build of the 18-135 is no better than the 18-105. it also does not have the useful VR.

No I don't really think this is a good deal. The bargain city deal is really not worth it so this is much much worst. heed my advice! And furthermore, the D90 price dropped. BO now $1200 as stated above!!!
He just trying to get rid of his old stock! The D90 kit lens is the best kit lens out there now! Trust me!!! Have it and find it handy when I want to travel with a lighter lens and body instead of the magnificent D700! HE IS A PUNK WHO LOVES TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. And even without changing the lens $2100 also no very good deal to me. Compatible flash $200+ can get le. I thiNK!

Thanks for the advice.. One thing for sure i have to admit something.. now.. I've just bought a D90 package somewhere at lucky plaza... was going around with my Nikon FM 10 .. i ask ask around.. then finally my hand got itchy and i finally cannot hold on and bought a D90 .... here what i got for...
D90 + 18 - 105 vr lens, 8gb SDHC, Cam bag + Tripod + UV filter lens + Vitacon wide angle 0.5W and Macro Lens + 5piece cleaning set + screen protector and a special bonus of a 2GB SDHC card.
Special bonus?? this what happened.... I was bargaining with a nice saleman and testing out the Vitacon Wide angle lens and suddenly a self proclaim camera erxpert salesman came and wanted to show me the effect of the lens uses his own 2g SDHC memory card and slot it into the D90. He said one statement which i cant stand it. " Let 'Me the camera expert" show you about this lens. Since you dont know anything about cameras" After much showing...
I took out my Nikon FM10 and then tell him show me how you fix that lens on my camera.. He said.. easy, then as he was about to open my lens.. I said.. Hey hey hey .. i thought you expert .. Cant you see that im using a total manual camera there?? wait the film inside expose how??? He then said.. oh yeah hor... like that i cant show you lah .. I then said.. How to claim an expert when you dont know about the basic film camera.. I then took the lens off.. where can expose one?? He then felt embarrased and walked away when other salesman giggled at him.
Thats how i came to realised he forgot his 2gb memory card after i reached home.
So the total price = $1950.. thats the best price i think ... Eventhough if its not... I dont care.. IM HAPPY .. and ready to snap snap snap.......

I've had 2 shops offering around 1680 - body, kit lens, 4gb sd card, and camera bag.
sounds like a fair deal to me.
one of the shop says that if i want it cheaper, around 1.5k, they can offer grey set.
what is the cons of getting a grey set? the shop seems pretty reputable - in the same building as ruby.
this same shop was introducing alternatives to me. such as getting the body of a d300 at 1.9k or so, and an additional lens. is there a marked difference in the d300 and d90, considering i don't plain to do wildlife? (the biggest difference i notice the the no. of focus points - 11 vs 51) and also getting secondhand 450d body, which i'm not so keen on.
another shop, in the same row as cathay, quoted me 1530, and he says its a nikon warranty and not a grey set. there are no freebies added in, but how reliable is this?

$1530 for body and kits set. I think its the lowest I know after doing some homework and searching around.. I bought mine yesterday quoted price was $1550.. Local set though.
