I think it is more advisable if you get it from the Sea & Sea shop at Adelphi.

Go & meet the wise man, Andrew of Sea & Sea at Suntec this weekend (Dive Exhibition). He will quote you accordingly & give you some advise on the strobe & arms with regards to the present underwater system that you have...

There is a company distributing Reefmaster series in Singapore. Unfortunately they only carry the Non-D version and he is selling it for USD139 without optical cable.... Please do take note that this will only work on Reefmaster camera housing. If you try securing any other brands of underwater housing to the base plate, the front diffuser plate will block it thus preventing you from able to do so. So unless you are willing to saw it off, it is not a very good solution.

But USD139 is an extremely attractive price.... If you want to check out the company and the product, do give me a PM.

Cheers!

it doesn't come with an optical cable and its brightness doesn't seem to be adjustable. otherwise, for 1/2 the price of a SL960D, i don't mind cutting the diffuser plate. i think it may be a good 2nd strobe to light the background with though - for e.g. as a slave to a SL960D or YS15.

i wonder why the distributor doesn't bring in the D version...? for less than usd300, it should still be a good competitor to the YS15. unless of course if the same distributor also sells the sea&sea...

please kindly PM me details of the company. thank you.

My apologies Kong... Was busy with work. Below are the information regarding the distributor for this strobe.

CD Exports Pte Ltd
#08-20 Peninsula Plaza
Tel: 63344906

Look for Mr Raja

Originally i got a quote from him for USD139. But subsequently after much haggling and telling him that the solution doesn't really work for my cam and i need to do quite a fair bit of modification, he relented and decided to lower the price to USD100.

I am no pro and i don't know whether i am going to like underwater photography so i rather not 'invest' so much on a strobe. Once i am sure i will take this as a hobby will i consider upgrading.

For SIN ~160, it is a steal. While you can't change the power of the flash, you can adjust the cam settings. The arm is really flexible unlike the Sunpak one....

Cheers!;)
