How come I never think about that?

How come I never think about that?
The E-1 has an external white balance sensor, and is accurate most of the time. I wonder why it is not implemented in all the other Oly DSLRs... :dunno:
Me wonder too, wat if u attach yr 50-200mm, shoot at a distance where the WB is different.Hmm
So would that mean all pringles cap, expo disc, grey/white card help to a certain extent.
Custom WB is a precious tool if you want consistent images, but impossible to do in some situations. This means one also has to train their eye to be able to estimate the colour temperature so that the consistent difference is easier to fix in post via bulk processing.
My guess it is something wrong with your camera or the way you handle the camera. I haven't seen any variation depending on aperture but definitely depending on color temperature and ambient light color.Personally, I don't entirely trust the WB on my E500.
It's only set to auto when I shoot with a Flash.
Without Flash, WB is usually not consistant (even when set to AUTO). It differs depending on what aperature you're using and even if that's fixed, it can very from shot to shot with the same aperature/shutter settings...
